What to look for in a reputable Dubai dentist?

dentist in dubai

Choosing a dentist can feel overwhelming. Where does one start? Without detailed knowledge of the profession, how can a person know they’ve found a reputable dentist?

If you’re looking for a reputable dentist in Dubai, you can use the following five criteria to help you choose.

Training and credentials

To qualify as a dentist, you must first complete rigorous and comprehensive training.

Dentists in the UK complete a demanding five years of training. They must follow this up with another one or two years of supervised training.

Once they have graduated, they must register with the General Dental Council (GDC), a governing body whose primary purpose is to protect patient safety and maintain public confidence in dental services. A registered dentist will be given  a unique GDC registration number and will be held to certain professional standards.

A qualified dentist will also hold a title corresponding to the training they received. Dentists trained in the UK will receive a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. e.

The titles held by dentists can vary. As they go on to study further, they may specialise in certain fields such as periodontics or endodontics or a variety of other dental specialities. Don’t hesitate to ask if you would like to learn more about your dentists’ qualifications.

Awards

Any awards your dentist may have received confirms that they have not just completed the requisite dental  training, but they have continued to excel throughout their working life. There are numerous awards spanning the full breadth of dentistry and many awards are given for achievements such as superior aesthetic restorations, smile makeovers or contributions to the development of dental treatment.

Quality customer-focused staff

Every step of your patient journey should feel good and when practice staff make you feel welcome and attended to from the first contact, you can proceed with confidence that the rest of the team will look after you too.

The services offered

Consider the service you need along with any particular problems you may need resolving. Then, look for experts who have the right experience.

Every practice will offer different services and have staff with different specialities.

What do their clients say?

Make sure you read the feedback left for your chosen dentist by their past patients. If you find consistent positive reviews written over a reasonable period, you can feel confident getting in touch with the practice.

We are happy to report our satisfied clients have written many 5* reviews for us. You can read some of them on our about us page.

We hope you will get in touch. We will be happy to discuss your dental treatment needs.
